My ‘Do-la-aemon’ pocket

September 30, 2008 By: Edalyana Category: General

This is a tag from Chegu

Here’s what I need to do in order to complete this tag:

Find a safe quiet place free of significant other, nosey meme makers, priests, nuns, all things religious and men in general.

1. Dump the contents of your handbag in a pile.
2. Take a photo of your handbag and the contents.
3. Be brave and explain to your fellow bloggers what lurks inside the handbag.
4. Tag others who might want to embarrass themselves.
5. Answer these questions :~

I cant wait to go back. I have no mood to do my work today as most of my colleagues are on leave for Hari Raya. Office is quiet. It will turn to silent on Monday and Tuesday as only me and the Potuguese guy left in the office. I was forced to take leave on Friday otherwise I will be alone in the office. Yes! holiday.. :)

I feel so dull today and it rains outside. I miss him. He was in Mulu for almost a week. We were used to call each other everyday and it feels weird when I lost contact with him even a day. :( Yeah, he did buy Celcom Sim card (DiGi has no signal in Mulu) just to make sure that we still can contact each other. but the signal is not so good. I couldn’t really hear what he says. Urggh, potong stim na juak! So we just text each other. Thank God he’ll be in Miri tonight. Its been a week since I last met Him but it feels like years! Gosh, I’m getting emo here.

Sometimes I just wish that I am in my hometown now where I have my  family, him and friends around me. I just have to wait for that. The time will come. I CANT WAIT!

Anyway, have a great weekend! Enjoy!

love

xoxo

19 SEPTEMBER 2008

September 22, 2008 By: Edalyana Category: General

I turned 25 last Friday (19 September 2008) HOORAYY!!!!  yeah! I feel so blessed! I thanked God for all the blessings that I’ve received throughout this beautiful 25 years He has given me and still able to breath until today. The never ending love and support from my lovely family, Him , friends and the great people who surrounds me. Thank you for all of you who showered me with birthday wishes on my friendster and facebook page and also my mobile phone. Thank you so much.

The best part is I was in Kuching on my birthday.. haha.. My family were there too (except dad and Evie) . It was a last minute plan where we decided to pay a surprise visit to my sister Nelly. All this while she has been visiting us every year in Kl and now its time to visit her. Yeah she was so shocked and got emotional to see us. She did not expect to see us there at that very moment. She cried harder when she saw mom that evening (It was a surprise too.. hehe). It was one of the best weekend ever. Will blog about it more soon. I’m so tired and sleepy today. Had sleepless nights.

Now, I am a year older (oh wow) more mature (be it in a relationship and life) but still young and sweet at heart.. haha k. ciao.. zzzzz

Leech

September 18, 2008 By: Edalyana Category: General

Remember that I attended a course last 3 mths? Yes yes the course which I attended for 2 weeks was really really fun. We had lotsa fun and challenging (for me) activities and the best part was making new friends. I love making new friends! That’s what we call networking. Heheh

The experience that I’ll never forget was bitten by leeches. Ya, leeches (means more than one leech) yucks!!!!! That was when we went for jungle trekking.

(This is not the leech which bite me, I was so panic, no time to take a picture of that ugly leech. I got this from the net. :P)

Merdeka

August 29, 2008 By: Edalyana Category: General

This Sunday will be our 51st Independence Day. Meaning that on Monday will be a public holiday. (thats what I’m looking for).

Everybody is complaining about the massive traffic jam that occured in the city centre due to the rehearsal for the Merdeka Celebration. Ya, it made me late to work for 2 consecutive days.. hehe. (Not only me, the whole office too!). Anyway, Happy Merdeka people. I would love to see the parade but the thought of caught up in a heavy traffic jam made me cancelled the plan. Staying at home, spending time with sisters and nephew would be better.

As my sis Nelly and her husband are around, we will be going to Port Dickson this Sunday. Yeah! I can’t wait.

Beach, sunny, flip flops, hot pants, banana boat.. Argh, I cant wait.

I wanna get myself tan! (*wink)

Happy Holiday! Happy Birthday Malaysia! ‘Selamat menyambut Hari Merdeka ke-51′

Frustrated

August 18, 2008 By: Edalyana Category: General

I was so frustrated last night when I watched the famous bad boy in badminton, Lin Dan defeated our very own Lee Chong Wei mercilessly!. For me, Chong Wei looked so unfocused, nervous and loss his self-confidence. He should have played better than last night. A rubber set at least! His own silly mistakes gave all the extra points to Lin Dan. My dream to hear our national anthemn Negaraku playing in the stadium while our flag being raised just crashed. Badminton was the only remaining hope after cycling. :(

Owh God, please bring squash to the Olympic!

But, nevermind, at least we have silver in our hands and to get silver is not easy! He should get credit for his hardwork, plus he will get RM 300,000.00 as an incentive from the Government. CONGRATS Lee Chong Wei!

Triple 8

August 08, 2008 By: Edalyana Category: General

After a few minutes I posted the entry below, I did my daily routine which is to check the yahoo main page to see any interesting news today and I found this article.. Hehe.. told you right?

I think this is also happening in our country (for the Chinese) because I remembered my sister told me when they did  reservation for their wedding in 2006 in Shangri-La KK; she was informed that all the halls in the hotel are fully booked today (080808). Look how advance they are to book two years before their wedding.

Wedding belles and beaux await August 8

BEIJING (Reuters) - August 8 promises to be a lucky day for Liu Chuan who is getting married and has a ticket for the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games.

Liu and his bride will join thousands of Chinese couples queuing at the marriage registry on Friday, an auspicious day for weddings and births because of the number 8, which symbolizes wealth in Chinese.

August 8 is also China’s big day, when the Olympic Games open in Beijing. Organizers added an extra eight for good measure by scheduling the opening ceremony for 8 p.m. “Chinese are partial to the number 8, and Friday is three 8s in a row - the eighth day of the eighth month, 2008. Also, we picked it because of the Olympics,” said Liu, a Beijing resident. “I got a ticket for the opening ceremony that night, but it was only possible to get one, so I will go to the Bird’s Nest (stadium) and my fiancee will watch it on TV at home.”

So many couples are planning to tie the knot on August 8 that Beijing’s marriage registries set up an online service for couples to file paperwork in advance and speed up the process. An estimated 9,000 couples in Beijing alone will get their marriage certificates that day.

“Whenever you get here, you will have to wait. The bureau opens at 8.30 in the morning and some people will come a lot earlier than that to get in line,” said a staff member at the Tongzhou registry, on the outskirts of Beijing, which has booked 500 appointments for Friday.

But despite the flood of weddings, many banquet halls are facing a drought of bookings. Many Chinese get their certificate and hold their banquets on separate days, and August 8 is usually a popular day to hold banquets.

However, most couples will delay the banquet for another day to avoid being upstaged by the opening ceremony, which will feature thousands of performers and extravagant fireworks.

“We thought about holding the banquet that night, but we figured it was inconvenient,” Liu said.

“Since it overlapped with the opening ceremony, most guests probably wouldn’t have the time or the interest to come to our celebration.”

Couples are also worried that transportation could be snarled up on Friday, when about 100 world leaders attend the opening ceremony, said manager Kang of Jinri Jiari Seafood City, where the banquet room is empty on Friday night but fully booked on Saturday and most weekends through October.
